Experience Required: Must have a comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and various processes, tools and related manufacturing equipment. Must have eight (8) to ten (10) years experience in hydraulic cylinder manufacturing or in related/equivalent manufacturing arena (grinding, turning, cutting, milling, NC/CNC machinery and programming languages), and CAD/CAM. Able to effectively work in an environment requiring considerable independent judgment, analysis, creativity, pragmatism and self-motivation. Able to effectively operate with considerable latitude for unreviewed action and decision-making and accountability for outcomes. Able to communicate effectively (orally and in writing). Ability to work across organizational lines, and to interact with others. Able to motivate and direct technical staff and possesses proven supervisory and leadership skills.
Degree Required: A BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Job Description: Provides liaison between the engineering department and other departments of the manufacturing division to assure that the manufacture or purchases of products meet functional requirements at the lowest possible cost. Maintains a constant surveillance over product design and manufacturing processes for the purpose of reducing and controlling costs. Responsible for the design of special production machinery necessary to maintain manufacturing operations at competitive levels.
